Hello! I'm Stephanie. Totally in love with Regina and Emma too! This my biggest obsession since back in the Xena days (when I was preteen). I read A LOT of fanfiction when I have time, I'm in college- finishing up my masters degree, and it seems all I do is work and homework so I don't have a lot of time for hobbies anymore, but when I do have time, I enjoyed writing and going to plays- I love theater. Nice to meet you all!!!

Hiya guys. I'm totally breaking my own stay-away-from-forums rule here, but I've seen this mentioned several times, and a girl can only resist something Swan Queen related for so long before giving in. I'm Shan, usually known everywhere as LiveLoveLikeMe, except on Tumblr where I'm RizzoliOnIsles (though I may be changing it back soon because of reasons). In addition to shipping Swan Queen like there's no tomorrow, I'm a hard-core Evil Regal, an avid writer, and currently studying CrimLaw (yay college).

Hello all, I'm Solo, and this is a bit new for me considering I don't own, or know how to work Tumblr, (other than frantically following a few I have bookmarked due to wonderful SQness) Regardless, one of the users there had posted a link to a fanfic that inevitably brought me here! So, after spending a half hour browsing and reading I decided to throw caution to the wind and actually register. Now that I've caught up with the FAQ thread and this one I felt like I should probably introduce myself too.
I have no image creating skills, but I do write, as it's my passion. Lately I've been working on a SQ fic that I've not quite had the courage to post yet. I adore animals, sarcasm, and would possibly die without my iPod shuffle attached to me when out in the real world. I ramble when nervous, so... I apologies in advance for all of this uselessness.
I've watched OUAT from the get go and have always seen (okay, insistently hoped) that the chemistry between Regina and Emma wasn't all in my delusional little mind but I never imagined how vast the fandom for it was. In fact, it was only about two months ago that I finally dared look, (evidently a lot of users on IMDb are rather anti-Regina and I so foolishly assumed that was the general consensus) and thus found out it even had a name! I am proud to not only be an Evil Regal, but also a SwanQueener, because this fandom is just... Amazing.
I think one of the reasons I fell so madly into the pairing of Regina/Emma was due to their dynamic. They push and pull one another, which is the way real relationships work. They get under each others skin, and they enjoy it. After all, they do say there is a fine line between love and hate. It's not glossed over, it's not forced, it's real interaction and I love it. More than that though it gives me hope.
Crazy, right? Two fictional characters that are 'unintentional' in their back-and-forth tit-for-tat attitude actually give me hope. Not just that perhaps eventually they will be endgame (as they should) but that as 'unintentional' as the creators may feel they are, these two characters have crossed boundaries and countries and touched thousands of us so thoroughly that a nation was born. It makes me ridiculously happy.
Since I've nervously babbled all over the page I feel like I should shut up and crawl under a rock, or at the very least a blanket. I'm excited to have found this place, and to whoever made it, and those who maintain it, I just want to say thank you. Thank you for giving me a place to gush about all things SwanQueen, and for letting me know I'm not alone.

solo Welcome I can't wait to read your fic & I hope you decide to participate in the Valentine's Day fic exchange. I'm glad you posted because I've been trying to convince people that message boards can be really cool too, especially for long conversations that tumblr just doesn't work for. Lovely to meet you & I hope you stick around.

Aww thank you very much! I'm sure I'll post it eventually, and I will definitely check out the Valentines Day exchange. Oddly excited about it already. It's nice to have somewhere to talk to others about SQ without the inevitable odd looks or you know, blatant "You're crazy" remarks. |
