I love how this thread has morphed into Swan Queen dreams as well as general 'My life has been taken over by Lana Parrilla'.
In that regard: Last night, I woke up at 3.40am, after a dream that I was in Vancouver, BC. I had just come from seeing Beverley Elliot (who plays Granny) sing in a jazz club and afterwards I was sitting on a bench with 'Bobby' (Robert Carlyle/Rumple) while we smoked hand rolled cigarettes and chatted like the best of friends.
It was very vivid and I woke up realizing I had somehow morphed all this information into a dream from twitter, tumblr, instagram and the internet.
That plus, I was sad. Sad for Lana that she has to play this crazy deranged Evil Queen at her wits end and sad depressed Regina who feels more and more like a dead horse getting a beating from the writers/producers.
i dunno...at this point, I'm hoping that Lana reads all our fanfic because its what I do to de-stress from the show and I think it would work for her too.

Someone please tell me why I do all of this to help promote a show that could care less about our existence?
I guess all of Emma's beards are just starting to get to me, especially when the writers (barring Jane) and actors (barring Lana) don't acknowledge our existence openly the way they do with heterosexual ships.

I strongly believe, that although right now media isn't ready to embrace the LGBT as something perfectly "normal" and actually quite common, it won't be long until same-sex couples on tv shows will be treated the same way as heterosexual ships. Things are already changing and we all do whatever we can do support the idea, so I don't think our efforts are in vein, we just need to wait a little bit longer  |

Patience has never been one of my stronger qualities. Especially when Xena was on decades ago, and it feels like we haven't made any major strides since then. Thank you though for the support.  I wouldn't mind the slow burn if the producers would just acknowledge that yes, it is canon that Regina is a potential suitor for Emma, and that all these innuendos and shared wardrobe and Emma's swagger are intentional. |

OK. I think I definitely need a bit of therapy. After reading a story on fanfiction.net the bottom corner had an advertisement with a brunette fighter character and I sweartogod it looked like Regina about to go all battle-ass on someone threatening Henry.
Granted I was probably predisposed. Regina in the story had just gone all "I will kill those who threaten the ones I love" all over some other character, but ... gah. Le happy sigh.

I would really love that and it saddens me that TPTB probably stay mum on that because they don't want to incur any homophobic ire. To us its not a very political statement but they view it as such and that leads me to believe that Swan Queen wont be canon. I keep wishing they would just have some sort of epiphany and realize that it would be awesome, but perhaps that's too much of a stretch for them mentally.  |
