The writers specifically went out of their way to insult Swan Queen. I don't care what their canon is anymore. Fic only.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't see this espy as being as bad. Yes we have the two idiots comments, but that's why they're called "the two idiots". They're looking at the family tree in terms of relationships, Emma and Regina both are just fighting to survive. I see the parallel in that both women are drowning and trying to find a way to survive-the depth of Bae/Neal's betrayal left Emma so scared she couldn't connect to anyone(until Storybrooke) And let's face it Swan Queen are two fierce mamma bears and now they have a common enemy in Rumple-per the visions. I'm not giving up hope yet

Ok, well this episode makes me feel bipolar. I absolutely loved Rumple's backstory but pretty much everything else I did not like Both Emma and Regina had me yelling "what are you doing?!?" the whole episode. I really hope Regina is just pretending, I think she is too smart to believe her mother (who else thinks Cora would use that dagger to get Rumple to kill Henry?). The Neal/Baelfire thing I had been preparing for for so long that I'm not freaking out. Here's hoping he dies! Henry was actually pretty good this episode, maybe there's some hope for him yet. Hook was actually tolerable because I like it when he is Cora's sidekick, I totally cheered when she knocked him out Ok, I can of spaced out a lot during the episode so I'm going to have to go back and check out the step grandmother scene because I didn't think it was a dig at the time

I went back and rewatched. Liked it even less. The Rumple backstory was misogynistic and half-assed at best. I feel sorry for Rachel Shelley and Bobby Carlyle that they had to act it out. The scenes with Cora, Regina and Hook were ok....but something has to give in that interaction or the writers have really lost their minds i.e. Cora is betraying Regina, Regina is pretending to go along with it until she can figure out how to best Cora so that she can protect Emma, Henry and the Two Idiots, and Hook is as Charming aptly put it, 'going where the wind blows'; he's out for his own interests regardless of how inconsistent it makes his actions. The only winner of the episode: Jennifer Morrison, who finally was given something meaty to act around. I feel sorry that this is the best episode of the season for her because it was crap otherwise and that's not fair to the actors. Nealfire: Michael Raymond-James did a good job...he got us to not quite loathe Bae and not quite like him either. His reactions and portrayal indicated that the character has a complex past that might be worth watching unfold in future episodes and he avoided making googly eyes at JMo so a Nealfire/Emma pairing is not automatically expected. Regarding the two idiots in the kitchen: It's really hard to tell if A&E are laughing with us or at us. The step great grandmother thing obviously had something to do with Ginny's remarks the other day. Either she shot the scene first and then felt emboldened to make her twitter comments or the other way around. The shows producers have admitted that the connections between the characters are rather convoluted but I've never taken that to mean that they were anti-Swan Queen, per se. So are they trying to diss us? or are they dissing Ginny? The last three episodes have featured really dumb dialogue aimed at Snowing. Leroy and Emma and Ruby have all questioned their grasp of law, science, their intelligence and their sense of entitlement. So is the joke on them? Perhaps?
At this point, I will keep watching but I've divested myself from the show and if I were going to SDCC or Paleyfest, I would have some choice words for Adam and Eddie because its becoming obvious that they have no idea what they're doing with the show. Just because they write it and have orchestrated the meta-narrative, they believe themselves to be clever. I would prefer if they admitted that they have taken the show in a completely different direction in the second season and that it's not really working, as the numbers would attest. Anyone can correct me on the ratings, but I think they're down from averaging 10 million to only 7.5 million in the last episode and the demos are down too from nearly a 4 at times last year to only at 2.3 last night. #FAIL.
