Pearl didn't get that popular but I did love it. I adore Film Noir so I was all about it. I was glad when I finished it though. It was starting to get complicated to write.
And btw I adored your story Velvet Paws, Moonlight Claws.

I was so excited to see a Film Noir Swan Queen fic, it's still one of my favourites. ><
And, thanks! I've been meaning to write the sequel to that for so long.

I will join in here since I've seen many familiar names here, so I don't feel as silly reccing myself. I can say that I have read and enjoyed everything mentioned here, with the exception of a few unfinished pieces I am waiting on. I don't always start things that are incomplete mainly because I am impatient, then I get nervous that the story will be abandoned. I have been burned many times in other fandoms! My own favorite thing is an easy choice: "This Great Distance." I've said this before in comment replies, but I dumped every good idea I had into that story. While the process of writing is always a challenge, the planning and visualization was extremely pleasant for that one. Even now when I listen to the music that inspired me, I have memories of certain scenes and still love them. I feel okay saying that mostly because it's as if the story wasn't even mine, but rather an idea I happened to reveal in written form. I don't agree with him in every case, but Stephen King believes that writing is like unearthing a fossil that you've discovered in the ground--it's a found object. That was what I experienced with this story, with certain moments just appearing, as though waiting to be told. I've only had that experience one other time recently, with a single scene in "The Sun Inside," so "This Great Distance" is definitely it for me.

Chilly, I've been a HUGE fan of yours since I started reading Janeway/7 fiction. Appreciation post because I'm really glad you write for Swan Queen too

I agree: I LOVED The Great Distance. Although I admit to squealing out loud every time I see that chillyflame has posted a new fic (I can be such a fangirl sometimes).

Thanks psuedo118 for the kind words about J/7. When I look back I can't believe I only wrote one story for them considering how long I read fanfic about them. I'm so glad you are also enjoying Swan Queen too! And thanks too, giftofamber, that is awfully sweet. Hopefully you won't have to wait too long for something new!
