Arwen17 suggested we name this forum something a bit more distinctive than "Swan Queen Board"
So give us your suggestions for a good swan queen name and we'll put them to a vote. Democracy in action, my fellow SWEN countrymen.
Scribb1es suggests "Apple Huggers Anonymous" abbreviated AHA!

My opinion:
I wouldn't rename it. We want people to know where to find it, as they find out about or see the pairing and need to board the SQ ship.
Being "obvious" in our name has a distinct advantage. If we get obscure... no one will be able to find us and join. I'm already tagging this board in my tweets as #sqboard

I'm with lzclotho -- there's an upside to obviousness... That said, I'd totally post on Apples and Cinnamon lol!

It's not gonna make it obscure. You can still tag it #sqboard and everything else. For example, you mention it in a post on tumblr as "AHA, our swan queen board" or just include a link in AHA. They'll see the AHA link has the words "swanqueen" in it and figure it out.
Whatever we choose to name it, it should come up in search results as "Welcome to AHA - a SwanQueen fanboard" something like that.
Just calling it "Swan Queen board" all the time sounds very 'blah' and doesn't differentiate it from the other Evil Regal and Swan Queen boards that have started and died quickly. Giving it a name makes it sound distinctive and interesting.
I have to go to class right now, but I'll be back later with some possible names.

You'll find that most words that are not "swan queen friendly" are censored. We'll put "Swan Queen Board" up for the vote. Acronym SQB. I like "The Magic Touch" too! |

I don't understand. Why is E-v-i-l Regal being censored? It's not "not Swan Queen friendly." I'm a proud Swan Queener and E-v-i-l Regal and I kinda don't like that I'm not allowed to type it out. It's sort of part of who I am.
Sorry... I just don't understand. Plus, it's a word I use like 50 times a day, so having it censored is getting a little annoying.

Given this board is not unrated, I think the magic touch is false advertising. Boring our not, I think a forum that wants to be the definitive, should be called SwanQueen. Board and forum are the boring parts. I like subtitle suggestion apple and cinnamon.
OT: now thanks to board and Lana and feathers, I'm thinking about stiff as a board, light as a feather.
I don't really like calling a member of SWEN, SwanQueener. I like SwanQueer better.
