Not really sure if I'm allowed to post this here, it's not EXACTLY a fic, but in my effort to reach 500 posts and get 5 user stars, I shall do so anyhow I posted it on tumblr, but just in case anyone of you isn't following me (WHY??) Hope you enjoy!
(Not to be confused with the excellent 'Twas the Night Before, by Heartsways, which I am enjoying immensely)
‘Twas the night before Christmas, and all throughout Storybrooke
Not a creature was stirring, even Cora and Cap’n Hook
Rumpel was hoping that he’d wake the next day,
And downstairs under his tree he’d find Bae;
Snow and her Prince nestled snug in their bed,
While visions of finding each other danced in their heads;
But Regina lay down with a long lonely sigh,
Alone once again, she tried not to cry.
When from her front door there arose such a clacking,
She sprang from her bed, afraid her mom was attacking.
She ran to the door, her robe barely on
Threw it open to find there… Emma Swan?
The moon shown behind the fabled White Knight
And in that soft glow, she looked… well… alright.
“Evening Ms. Swan, is there something wrong?”
“Oh no,” answered Emma then moved right along,
“The truth is Regina, I’ve something to say
After I crawled from the portal, things went the wrong way.
I’m sorry we didn’t invite you to come,
You should have been welcome to stay with your son;”
“And to be honest, Regina, I’ve just really missed you
There I’ve said it, now, would it be alright if I kissed you?”
Stupefied, Regina could scare catch a breath
“Best you come in, before you catch your death.”
At that she stepped back to let Emma in,
And Emma complied with a slight hopeful grin
Regina just stood there not sure what to think
Emma said, smiling, “We could start with a drink”
As she prepared them, Regina gave it some thought-
After all, how much happiness had evilness brought?
So though dating the Savior might seem a bit strange,
It was also appealing… And it was time for a change.
She returned then to Emma, and passed her a glass.
“I hate your red coat, but I’m in love with your ass.
And to be honest, I think this will upset poor Snow
Which is one for the plus column… So yeah, we’re a go”
Emma’s eyes — how they twinkled! her smile full of delight!
“Then get ready, Regina. Black Queen to White Knight.”
Her droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
But Regina just smirked. “Oh, I don’t think so…”
“You started this plan, yes, my sweet little dove,
But you’ve no idea what I’m capable of…”
Then she set Emma’s glass down to one side,
At the first brush of lips, Emma thought she had died.
Hell if Regina wasn’t telling it true
If their love was a game, than for sure she would lose.
Regina, though, secretly thought the same way -
When it came to the Savior, hell yeah she was gay.
They spoke not a word, but went straight to their work,
Christening each room of the house, not an inch did they shirk.
Then finally, exhausted, they collapsed in a heap.
Sated and happy, and needing some sleep.
Not so very much later, the sun started to rise
Regina was smiling as she opened her eyes.
Leaning in for a kiss in the morning’s soft gleam,
Emma lovingly whispered… “Merry Christmas, My Queen.”
