The first sneak peek for episode 9 was just...wow. Regina is really starting to show some emotion, trying to protect Henry, but why on earth is she acting like she doesn't care what happens to Emma? Even if you ignore Swan Queen, Emma is really important to Henry (who I still don't like right now; maybe I should go re-read Enchanted again).

I loved the sneak peek! Regina so worried about what her mother would do to her son. How crazy is that? No one should ever be in that position. I mean this could be an episode of "Snapped": Mother kills daughter's lover, attempts to kill daughter's son.
From Regina's perspective: Nemesis Snow is gone, Rival for Henry's love Emma is gone, Charming is in sleep coma equals gone. She has no one standing in her way. Why would she want the Charming's back?
Her number one priority is keeping her Henry safe, and nothing else matters to her. She can't lose him too.

it's really hard not to hate how this will end. If anything from the spoilery fics, Regina will be in the sidelines with Henry.
Is it so hard to give that woman one episode break, and us too, by I don't know, and really writers don't break a nail trying to get this done, giving her one uncomplicated happy day? In a span of less than 10 episodes, she loses her son, loses her true love, and will have a reprise of losing her son once more when Snow and Emma returns.
I'm actually getting sad just typing this in here.
damn. I need a One Fine Day fic.

I really liked this sneak peek. Regina is trying so much to protect Henry, to do what he wants her to do, even though that means she'll have to bring Emma and Snow back, she's been trying to do that for some episodes now... And then there's Cora. When she knows Cora can come and ruin everything again... She just has to protect Henry. But at the same time, she needs to prove him he's better, she needs to get them here... I think this episode will be kinda good. I also think Regina will suffer a fucking lot (AND SHE TOTALLY DOESN'T NEED THAT!!!) But I think it will be good.

Watching this sneak peek, I must have been sleepy or out of my mind, but I keep envisioning/thinking Luke, Vader and Palpatine at the core of the new Death Star near the end of "Return of the Jedi" looking at this sneak peek.
And I can't shake the dread feeling that Regina dives/falls into the portal and ends up out of sight of Rumple and Red, and Henry, landing unconscious in the middle of the battle between Snow, Emma, Cora and Hook, and that's when we see Cora ("time to change things up") turn into Regina and go out through the portal into Storybrooke.
Yes, this is how twisted my mind can get.

I don't think she's ignoring Emma, I just think she's doing whatever it takes to protect her son because THAT is what Emma would want. Emma herself showed that in 2x03: She'd much rather leave Regina with Henry than let Cora get to him.
Regina's doing what any mother would do in her situation: protecting her kid. (Good) mothers always put their children first.

Even if you ignore Swan Queen, Emma is really important to Henry (who I still don't like right now; maybe I should go re-read Enchanted again). I found this troubling also, but then I realized that Regina and Rumple probably suspect that Emma and MM/Snow are dead already or are being controlled/manipulated by Cora. If Regina thinks Emma and MM/Snow have already been compromised then it would explain why she doesn't seem to care about their safety. And Regina might also be trying to protect Henry from finding that out in a bad way, something that would traumatize him even more. But that's just my take on it.

I agree in that I don't think she's ignoring Emma. At this point, she believes Snow and Emma to be hopeless causes, in a sense. She knows how powerful her mother is and believes that, come time for the 'Final Battle' over there, things won't end in their favor.
Henry is everything to her. This entire season so far has been about her redeeming herself in his eyes, and after she has come to that conclusion, she will do anything to protect and love her son, even if it pushes him away.

Also, can I just say that I absolutely adore Lana/Jared screen time? Those two have such a genuine bond that shines through, even when Henry is being a little brat

Loving all of the sneak peeks but 2 confuses me a bit, probably because of Belle's clothing...
Intrigued and freaking out because the episode will probably be awesome but leave us hanging!

This episode appears to have a lot going on. I am curious why Lana once said that 2x09 is her favorite episode with Jennifer to date.
It seems that she is really quaking in her boots about Cora coming to town and hurting Henry, and that supercedes everything else. So, I wonder, will Emma save Regina again or will Regina end up saving Emma?
P.s. thank you to Exquisiteliltart for fixing my avatar!

Can we fangirls collectively say that our ovaries burst with The Evil Queen's little snarky "No" when Hook asked for his hook back.
