I'm really hoping they are not related (I didn't jump to that conclusion) because there's no need for all the characters to be related, there's really NO NEED

I highly doubt Cora & Eva are related. It would make Emma & Regina second cousins. Not that second cousins can't get married in most states: more states allow first cousin marriage than marriage with two people of the same sex. I just don't see the writers making Leopold Regina's uncle.

Maybe you missed the part about if Cora & Eva were blood related that it would make Emma & Regina blood related. That is what is making everyone agitated.

I don't think it will matter if Emma and Regina are related. They can still both be in Henry's life. I think it would be good actually. They are related but so different one follows a path of evil and the other is the saviour. OUAT is after all all about families.

But if they were blood related, it would be really awkward to say the least if the show decided to make them a couple............

Really? This show has already proven that blood relations could as well not exist: people adopting people; people becoming step-parents; crickets substituting for parents; people without parents (including dwarves); people becoming parents to wooden dolls; people making deals about children, trading them as if they were items; parents admiring their kids WAY more than their spouses (it was almost sickening looking at Leopold and Snow White); not to mention all the age differences; children killing their parents (yes Red, we're looking at you), do I even need to continue? There are bigger problems at stake and the fact that Emma and Regina would be second cousins is just as much issue to me as the fact that technically, Regina is like 40 years older than Emma or Rumple hundreds of years older than Belle.

Its really going to lose the 'family friendly show' advocates if they go full on into VC Andrews territory..... Personally I don't have a problem with all the messed up relationships on the show, only makes it more compelling fiction. IMHO. I have a bigger problem with all the hypocrisy of people who call it a family show as an excuse to not have any of the characters be LGBTQ but then don't care about any of the issues you just mentioned and think its ok for snowing to be doing it in the living room 2minutes into an 8pm broadcast show. I don't think kids should be watching at this point. We have assassinations, hearts being violently ripped out of chests, rape alluded to repeatedly, and depictions of war and violence. This is not a family show. Where I am currently living its on at 11:30pm when it airs on broadcast networks. I think it should be on later and skew full adult in the demo. And stop the hypocrisy and give us really problematic sexual relationships and betrayal etc. and lesbians (god forbid!) I want Ginny to eat her stupid closet homophone words! But that's just me. You're all entitled to differing opinions.

It's one of the most common excuses writers use when they don't feel like writing something (or writting well in BBC's Merlin's case). They can keep throwing that term around all they want, it won't make it apply to this show. Moving the show to a latter timeslot will not matter because the writers are already in the 'family show' mindset, unless the new timeslot comes with new writers it won't make any difference. I try to pretend that Ginny didn't say those words because they are so homophobic and not even a tiny bit original

Huh, I missed something, what did Goodwin say??? Goodwin tweeted some rather unsettling things that put the fandom at odds with each other. I would rather not re-hash the problem publicly. Suffice to say, all the gifs where Snow says 'porn' while looking at Emma & Regina is a bit of satire toward Goodwin's comments. --- Can we just talk about how frustrating it is that out of 7 sneak peeks, none of them had an Emma/Regina scene in them?
