Hm, from the sneak peeks I sense even more bad writing. Regina tells Henry she'll kill everyone and he will see her as a hero?! How blind do the writers think she is?! Seriously?! And out of all of that, Snow is the only voice of reason right now - reminding Charming that Regina is Henry's mother despite everything and that Emma should not make careless decisions without a solid proof. I'm so glad someone has finally mentioned how her 'superpowers' have failed over and over. I only don't like how the Charmings still hesitate with giving Regina another chance, saying how she slips all the time. The one time she really really worked for her redemption, they all jumped at her, saying she's Archie's murderer and has no rights to be Henry's mother. I've never seen them even apologising to her for that, yet they struggle with giving her another chance, after she's proved she can change? And please, Charming, a 'choice' of living forever in the cell??? That's really 'appealing'... (although I would love to see Regina agree to it and Emma helping her out as in many fanfics I've read... Perhaps even "Educating Emma"? ) I agree. It seems they have forgoten completely about her character development once they decided to have her team up with Cora. Like I was willing to believe it then, but this just makes no sense at all. Hopfully it will make sense within the context of the episode.

If the curse has a failsafe that allows Regina to kill all her enemies & leave Storybrooke herself, why didn't she use it before she got Henry? Before she remembered how to love people or whatever.
Also, the "kill them all" from the EQ flashback doesn't bother me because she was their Queen. By ignoring her pleas, those villagers were effectively committing treason against the Crown. Regina thinking about using that failsafe in Storybrooke...that concerns me, especially since she seemed to be on speaking terms with Emma last week, and this scene basically implies she has had no character development all season.

But at the same time, what Emma revealed to her makes it clear that the others plan to leave her behind. Regina rightly thinks, these fuckers don't care about me and are willing to leave me here, so I'm willing to enact this fail safe and leave them all behind as well. As for what she told Henry. I suspect that the curse failsafe doesn't actually kill them all, but this is a clever thing to tell Henry as it requires that he choose, definitively, which set of family he wants to belong to. Of course as we all know, none of this really matters since *SPOILER* Tamara and Greg kidnap Henry and force the others to join forces to come and find him. What I do wonder about is whether we are resettling in a new setting for good and Storybrooke as we know it is indeed 'gone' or 'left behind' come season 3. Think of what this really means for Steveson? Where are they going to film exteriors? Will they be doing 'Steveson-based' flashbacks then? And I always pictured Neverland as somewhat warm and tropical. Am I totally off on this? Are they going to start filming on a sound lot indoors?

Yes I agree. More plot driven characterization contrivance. Sigh. I just don't know anymore. I'm not in a place right now that I'm going to be happy expending energy and free time on something I am becoming more and more disappointed in on a very basic level. I am going to watch to the end of the season very reluctantly, but I probably will not return after the summer unless something very basically shifts to improve the storytelling.
I also suspect that there is no such fail safe to the curse. Regina is using Henry to convey a lie to Snow et al in order to make them "jump" a particular direction so she can get something else. Probably reveal their true motives to Henry and drive him away from them.

Ugh. How stupid do they think we, viewers, are?!
Lana is too good for this show.

No matter how much she hurts, wants to hurt others, she decides she can't use Henry as her mother had once used her to get what she wants. I suspect an intense episode of Regina essentially battling herself.

I think I'm honestly at the point of not understanding the vast changes in character/personality that Regina goes through from episode to episode. I'm also not getting why Neal gets time with Henry & Regina doesn't. Something is very wrong with that picture.

Apart from the ridiculous character changes, the thing that probably bothers me the most is how the show runners don't seem to find anything wrong with the obvious cases of hypocrisy. Like the whole adoption kerfuffle and the answer to the criticism during the Paley panel; comparing Regina & Henry to Gepetto & Pinocchio was just moronic. It's the same with the Neal thing, how he's able to spend time with Henry, but Regina isn't. And don't even get me started on the whole Emma/Neal statutory rape thing.

The second they make Emma get back together with Neal, the second this show is over for me. Even READING about Adam and Eddie teasing about it makes me angry.

Does the lack of Emma/Regina sneak peeks bother anyone else?

Emma had more emotion in the scene with Regina "dying" than she did when Neal was "dying." Just saying. JMo knows what her fans want.
