My current favs are Blood Red Love and The Heart's Lonely Shelter. Well I have a LOT more than that, but I don't want to overwhelm everyone at once.
Side note: does anyone else have the urge to scream every time someone mentions Daniel that it's DANIELA the stable GIRL: didn't you read Dreamscape?? LOL Or the fic that I'm blanking on the name of at the moment that had Emma & Snow fall through the portal, but use mirrors to communicate with Regina so that it didn't feel like a huge separation (and was a productive separation because Emma found Regina's long lost daughter Charlotte). Why didn't the show realize communication was important from the get go?

As for fic Recs I just finished reading "In a land far far away" which I had avoid for a while because I thought I wouldn't like it. But I was wrong it was amazing.

My favorite fic for now is Educating Emma!I love how it's paced and how the relationship develops and I just love it!!
"Fragments Of A Life Less Lived" Is also quite good!
"Held in Stasis"
There are some more that I like but right now I can't recall all of them!!

I'm ridiculously obsessed with all of maleficently's work. 'a fruit that's death to taste' was wonderful, but I've followed 'somewhere, someone must know the ending' since chapter one and it pretty much owns my soul. When I got an email for the most recent update, right in the middle of a horrible and stressful week, I think I may have cried a little.  Also really enjoying The Secret's In The Telling lately, but I never got to finish the latest chapter. Must get to that! |

Oh man, 'a fruit that's death to taste' was fantastic. I wanted to bitch slap the person on ao3 who asked her to hold off posting the next part til after uni finals. I was like "NO POST IT NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW" lol!
A Queen Without Power was one of my first favorites. Definitely loved Educating Emma. Can't remember the name of the one where Emma helps Regina escape the frenzied mob and they hide out in a cabin for awhile, but I loved that one too.

I have to admit, after putting it off for a while because of the subject matter, I finally read 'The Staircase' and I love it. It's a shame the author received enough anon hate to make her leave tumblr.

Emma helps Regina escape the frenzied mob and they hide out in a cabin...if there were also scenes with the animals helping Emma, I believe you're describing The Debt/Ledger Squared in Blood by scribes and scrolls (aka scribbles). As for owning my soul, that would totally be Enchanted by Queen Nan (which I wish she would update more often). I'm also currently enthralled with All We Seem by ryaninthesky, which I didn't read at first because of the summary description, but when I eventually tried it, I was like oh, this is like A Lioness Rampant by Tamora Pierce (which I LOOOOVE) rather than like say a fic with women with male parts (which I can't read...I have a weak stomach). |

I don't understand people who hate on fics -- feel free to just not read it, that's your god given prerogative -- but don't try and shut people down from writing! |

Some of my five-star fic recs... Madrigal Prism's duo "A Day Without" and "Break These Chains", and the already mentioned Scribes & Scrolls "The Debt" and "A Ledger Squared in Blood," and Bond.Jane "A Good Morning."
Then there's Shreds of Serenity's "through leaves of green"
Can't overlook the trilogy: "Fragments of a Life Less Lived" , "All You've Ever Known" and the in-progress "Price of Magic", by the incomparable heartsways.
Yes, I love the meaty long fics... lots of tension, angst, a good adventure, building romance, and beautiful sex.
But the short ones can be stirring on a whole 'nother level: I can't forget the story "Henry's Birthday" written by writetherest and the "followup" by write-right-now titled "It Was the Least I Could Do"... sonofabitch these were heart-crushingly beautiful!

I thought I'd go back in my archives a bit for fics that maybe don't get mentioned as much.
Black Lace by Standbackufools - JFC, this fic is hot. Voyeurism, strip-tease loveliness but with plenty of plot to back it up.
Fics by Bond. Jane
Today and Every Day by Writetherest - Storybrooke goes a little gay marriage crazy and Emma and Regina pretend to be married for a day. This one always gets me right in the feels because Emma/Regina/every-day married life is my crack.
