i'm doing tame the dragon and sequestered and some other smaller ones who's names i can't remember. i am loving the au/new york fic by hunny fresh 'meet me halfway' even though its really really au, the characterizations are believable. its lovely.
i'm also reading the millennium series (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played With Fire, and The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest) by Stieg Larsson.
I know I'm late to the game on those books but they are really really really good, if anyone wants a book rec and hasn't had the chance to read them. But trigger warning for all kinds of sexual violence and child abuse. Still, they're's a good deal of humour and really captivating detective work in the books. And the protagonist is practically a superhero kickass woman who just blows me away. Check it out, if you read on paper.

Are fanfiction.net's filters driving anyone else batty? Has anyone found a way to filter everything but SQ over there since the new system went into effect?

The Fairest of Them All by sartneydumas is quickly becoming one of my favorite fics along with Taming a Little Dragon by morshon.
I was really happy to see KillerElephants is reposting her fic. I was getting kinda worried about it having all disappeared and everything.
I'm reading more stuff on AO3 as a direct result of the FF net filter issue. I recommend, "Whatever this is" by EvilRegal.

@misscyn I have no idea. My suggestion is to PM the author or read them in order of date published. I personally haven't read it b/c it's a het pregnancy storyline & I prefer magic babies.
Side note: FF net was down most of today. They need a backup server or something, cause I can't live without my fic anymore than I could live without tumblr.

So in Bond Jane's new fic, Angels with Dirty Hands-I think it's called, she actually talks about the 17 year olds can't legally consent issue! She actually has Regina turn Emma down because she is TOO YOUNG. Can I just say how happy that makes me?

I personally have not saved any of their fics, but maybe some of our members have. I know at least HalfwayHome said that he/she was revising the fics and going to put them back up (I think). There is however *plenty* of other stuff to read. I highly recommend "Can't Sleep" by SkinnyLittleLesbian for the fluff content. If you like angst, a lot of folks seemed to like Transgressions of the Heart by SapphireSmoke. |
