Ok, I'm a bit behind, are there any fanfics dedicated to our sweet spoilers on Regina and Emma together on the ship??? (you know, Charmings will obviously sleep in their separate cabin, then Hook will have captain's cabin of some sort, which leaves Emma and Regina sharing a cabin/bed too  ) The only one I've read so far is 'Technicalities' which it's sadly rated K www.fanfiction.net/s/9149463/1/Technicalities |

PSA: There was an Enchanted update (by Queen Nan). I literally came when I saw the email in my inbox (sorry, TMI). So yeah, read the update because I am quite frankly dying to discuss it with people but want to avoid spoilers. I figure by tomorrow should be enough time.

Who do you think was behind the assassination attempt? Smythe? Rumple? Is this the beginning of the stuff forewarned by the tapestry? Who will Regina decide to put on her council now that she's effectively fired them all? Emma's little bout of jealousy about Oren was just cute. For a three year old, Henry's a little trooper too, just like his two mamas.

I think Smythe was the actual actor, but I think Rumple was behind it. Because the target was Henry, which would, if successful, have sent Regina down the super-dark path of revenge to get his curse enacted.
I think her council will stay small for a while, but I think she will put Bear on the council at some point.
I do think this is the tapestry's beginning thread.
Henry is described as 4 years old. Four years ago when Emma was 15 she had him. Emma's now 19 and Regina is 23. At times Henry certainly doesn't behave as if he's any four-year-old I've ever met.
One of the sweetest images I bring to mind with this story was Snow flashing back to a young Regina who would follow her around when she was pregnant and talk to the baby. Though that's only one. There have been a lot of "photographic" moments with this fic. The writing is very visual.
And the interpretations of the characters to this very differently "catalysted" reality they are still very realistic for an AU with Regina by turns ruthless, prickly, tender, and intense. Emma's even both sweet (never growing up without secure love) and savvy (her awareness of the realities of situations and dealing with it rather than merrily skipping past as if it will magically fix).

I hope she's not going to include the curse in this story with all Regina's gone through already. I don't think my heart could take Regina so hurt again. Rumple has clearly bought off the Hand though...I think that's the title of the character--see what I get for writing early in am. Henry is a very mature 4 year old at times, but then Regina is raising him. I want to see Bear on her council & maybe Edware too once she forgives him. The tapestry warning has been driving me nuts trying to decipher it. I hope this makes one iota of sense bc my brain is not functional right now. |

The tapestry clearly suggests that the two will be separated and miserable/angry as a result. To stay the Hand of Fate must've taken some remarkable deal by Rumple. Which seems to be why she's hoping the marriage is fait acompli by the time she arrives to the Summerlands.
I think that Regina will be forced to reveal herself as the faceless sorcer. That may lead to another coup attempt by the nobles.
I also think that Edware's reveal as her brother will be at a most inopportune time. I only wonder if it will be before or after he's revealed to be Henry's true father.

Deals and Rumple, and the new information about Cora. I wonder if the author worked out Regina's magic training as some sort of deal between Cora and Rumple since we've known since first season that Regina was Cora's daughter. Unless one was utterly blind a viewer had also guessed Cora was the Miller's Daughter from the original Rumple tale could fashion a deal as the backstory here. Of course it may not reflect recent understanding we have of Cora/Rumple, Cora/Regina, Cora/Henry, but this is AU, so it obviously doesn't have to.
Also the faceless sorcerer has used magic, if I recall correctly, only for helping Regina secure her kingdom, and in more recent actions, only for life-saving/good. So, perhaps that will be revealed to be part of Rumple's lividity: let's say he trained the faceless sorcerer -- but he had intended for her to use the magic for ill, not for good. Rumple may also know Regina and the faceless sorcerer are one and the same and intend to attempt to use that to foment control over her. So she may, for a time, be forced to do his bidding, which would cause emotional (perhaps even physical) separation as Emma and Henry will not be allowed to know.
