just a quick thought on the JMo chemistry point...I just wonder sometimes if the simplest explanation is sufficient. Emma is shut down for all sorts of good reasons, so she plays someone who is shut down and walled off. Regina uses a particular idea of sexuality to get what she needs and so is similarly walled in. I think what compels me anyhow, about all of this, is the idea that they're sorta two sides of the same coin. Both are mis-firing (though we name Regina's behaviour as simply having more chemistry) because of past trauma and so wear these layers that they both also could work their way through (even if only through anger and blunt honesty). as for the actresses themselves, I have fewer opinions. I think they both have roles to play even in real life in relationship to the media. random randomness on my part. carry on:)

Oh my, I loved the interview! Well, now about the Swan Queen. I don't see how Lana can not see it... But well, when I think about some things, some possibilities everybody has thought, I remember about how many shows have denied a ship in the beginning to just make it cannon after some seasons. I think to Emma and Regina get together they need to work out their shit first. Or they could start a only sexual relationship (I honestly think that's how things would play out, because, let's face it, there's so much sexual tension there, you could cut it with a knife...) but then everything would get 10 times more complicated. So yeah, I love Swan Queen, and I sooooo want it to be cannon, but I think they need sometime for it to happen. It's just not... right now. Maybe in a season or two? *cross fingers*

Maybe in a season or two? *cross fingers* If we want SQ on this show I firmly believe the fastest track is to get Lana on board as captain of the ship. No one else has more pull for her character, apart from Adam and Eddy, who seem way more fascinated by their new toys right now. And first step for Lana to be on board is for her to actually SEE it, really see it. Not as some abstract notion from her loyal fanbase, but see it as being deliberate and real. And while she might not have been seeing it in the mine scene or whatever, subtext is often the sort of thing that once you point it out -- unless you have an axe to grind -- you usually cannot unsee it again. Lana is certainly not a fool and has no reason for axe grinding. And she may notice a helluva lot more of Jane Espenson's little SQ writing nuggets in the future as being full of subtext now pandora's box has been popped and it's been pointed out to her in detail. If she starts to look for them, that is. Regina has always been a delicious tease and a flirt with everyone and everything. I'd love to see what she's like if/when Lana decides to be an 'ally' and hits the turbo-boost button on subtext lines. Ovary explosions everywhere. I definitely think we need to recruit our captain. And not by saying SQ is so sexy and so hot and omg I can't with Regina and Emma. But by quoting the subtext lines and subtext moments ad infinitum until only the axe grinders are left being deliberately obtuse. And everyone else is Ohhh, right, I get what you're on about. Once seen, never unseen. My new motto.

I liked the interview, she didn't bash the ship which happens way too often, but I would have loved it more if her answers were more like Joanne Kelly's about Bering and Wells (from the show Warehouse 13)

Imagine how she'd say the word? She made lessssbian sound exciting enough and it wasn't even a seductive comment.
